4-vehicle crash leaves 6 people injured

On Behalf of | Mar 26, 2014 | Car accidents

A car crash that involved four vehicles in Georgia left six people with injuries. It appeared that a female driver was driving a 1997 Oldsmobile Achiva when she pulled out from an apartment complex. The authorities believed that she pulled out into the path of an oncoming log truck. The truck driver stated that while attempting to avoid striking the vehicle, he collided with a 2008 Chevrolet Malibu. The impact from the collision caused the truck to flip and spill the logs. Some of the logs struck a fourth vehicle, a 1985 Nissan pickup truck.

The 2008 Chevrolet Malibu had three occupants, including a 7-year-old girl. The report stated that she suffered a head injury and remained in critical but stable condition. The other five individuals who were involved in the crash were all adults. They were all reportedly in stable condition. At the time the report was released, no other information was available regarding the accident.

With so many vehicles sharing the roads, all drivers are responsible for operating their vehicles in a safe manner. However, car accidents are a common occurrence in Georgia. Many of these crashes are caused by driver error or negligence.

Many car accidents leave those who are involved with serious injuries that could potentially be life-threatening or life-changing. Those who were injured and were not found to be responsible for causing the accident may be eligible to file a personal injury lawsuit against the responsible driver in order to seek compensation for a number of damages, including medical bills and any lost wages. Additionally, if the crash caused a permanent injury or disability, the injured person may be able to also seek future medical costs.
