Parents sue acne med manufacturer over son's suicide

Georgia residents may be interested in a lawsuit that has being filed against the makers of a prescription acne medication. The parents of a teenage boy who took his own life are claiming that Allergan and Amerisource Bergen are liable for the boy's death. According to the wrongful death claim, ingredients in the topical medication known as Aczone resulted in the boy developing severe depression and suicidal thoughts.

3-vehicle collision on I-75 in Georgia kills 1, injures 2

A three-vehicle accident on Interstate 75 has resulted in one person's death and the injury of two other people. The crash happened on Jan. 14 in the northbound lanes of the interstate between Exit 63 and Highway 41. The vehicles involved were a Toyota Prius, GMC Envoy and FedEx truck.

Georgia drivers at risk when answering a phone while driving

A study from the Virginia Tech Transportation Institute indicates that it is far riskier to make a call or reach for a cellphone while driving than simply carrying on a conversation with a passenger or while already on the phone. There are a variety of recent studies that show that people are more likely to end up in car accidents if they use their cellphones while behind the wheel, but this study indicates that the most dangerous actions involve taking their eyes off the road.

Georgia woman killed in 2-vehicle accident

A 26-year-old woman was killed as a result of a two-car accident in Columbus. After being rushed to the hospital, the woman was pronounced dead approximately five hours after the crash. Although the car wreck is still under investigation, police have charged a 23-year-old driver for the woman's death. The Muscogee County coroner has confirmed that the victim was not wearing a seat belt when the accident occurred.
